Sewing for Grand Assembly

Well, I got my "Baby" back.  This is my 27 year old, top of the line, Pfaff sewing machine.  The clutch went out, so I had it fixed.  It sews like a dream.  I am making jumpers for Grand Assembly. Lilly Rose is now a  "Rainbow Pledge"  For those of you who do not know, my sister and I were very involved in "The International Order of Rainbow For Girl"s as teenagers.  It is affiliated with the Masonic Lodge  And is a service club for girls 11-20 yrs old.  Thus our daughters are also involved.  The younger girls ( 7-10 yr olds) are in a group called pledge.  As soon as the girls reach 11 years old they go in to Rainbow where they learn to be young ladies.  The annual state wide meeting is in Fresno this week.  Tomorrow is the day for the pledge girls to meet with the rainbow girls.  Each club makes and wears  dresses that match.  The day finishes with a carnival and dance that is a lot of fun. So for now, I need to go hem the last jumper.  Blessings to you my friends.

Should be "Dossier to China" soon

This part of the journey to our children is the worst.  WAITING  I could complain but, I am not going to do that.  It will happen in God's timing.  I can tell you that the Dossier will go to China the day after the authentications are back from the Chinese Embassy.  Ho Rah!

Meanwhile, I sent an email to our worker at the agency and asked if it would be possible to get an update on the kids.  She said she would ask.  That made my day!   Please continue to pray for their health and safety as we wait to go get them.

BTW  We have a lady in our church who is from Guangzhou.  She has graciously offered to negotiate for our rooms in Guangzhou  The costs have gone way up and we will probably need two rooms, if we take 2 kids with us.  China only allows 5 in a room.  So, having an advocate to negotiate the price is quite helpful.

I leave you with a picture of Nick doing his magic on his board.

I WANT MY GOLDEN TICKET!

Well,  more than a week ago, I received a letter stating that the USCIS  would like to have a copy of my divorce decree .  Why they did not ask for them before?  Who knows!   This places another week to 10 days behind.  Though since we have missed the target date by "months" I guess Behind is relative.  We want our dossier to go to China NOW  but we need our I-797  Please let it come today.  Waaaaah
